Youth Exchange Green Litter
Green Litter (GLitter) Youth Exchange
at Kavos Corfu island Greece
by TsaMpa
TsaMpa is a group of young people active in youth work and our aim is as simple as to build a better world, one day at a time. Throughout these past years, we have developed our friendship with a group of youths active in youth work who take their profession seriously and want our students/youths in our community to get the best learning experience that addresses their various needs. All members aged between 18 and 30 years old with the desire to promote social, cultural, and educational activities to the local community. Our goal and passion are to create activities that add value to the people and the city, inspiring and encouraging youth movement and innovations. We want to promote active citizenship, greater social cohesion, inclusion, self acceptance, awareness on relevant community issues, to encourage a fairer and supportive society towards a better world. Considering the specific personal as well as professional skills of each member, we have structured our activities into five main components: education and non-privileged youths, inclusion and arts, civic & cultural intervention, international education & respect & and youths & environment.
Our purpose is to continuously promote the interconnection of these areas in order to develop creative, dynamic, and appealing approaches. We look at arts as a valuable tool to stimulate social cohesion while promoting equal educational opportunities for all and enhancing the spirit of resilience and sense of mutual respect. We see culture as an invaluable collective heritage and an indispensable means for understanding and solidarity among generations, cultivating a spirit of citizenship and full integration of the individual in his environment. We understand arts and every way of artistic expression as an essential dimension of every human being, an effective tool to stimulate self and collective awareness, and an especially valuable way to promote a collective ideal of nature conservation and sustainable development as well as a way to improve overall well-being and contribute to lowering anxiety and stress, improving self-awareness and self esteem, strengthening relationships, acceptance through regulating behaviors and advancing social skills. We wish to encourage community values which we understand as essential for the development of an individual and for life in society: friendship, solidarity, ethics, mutual respect, inclusion, civility, and citizenship.
The target audience of our action consists primarily of disadvantaged groups and people with family background and social status limitations, physical, educational or psychological nature obstacles. Furthermore refugees and immigrants youths, children, young people, and elderly, institutionalized or in the risk of social exclusion are also a part of our target group. However, the scope of our activities is not limited to these groups. It extends to the general population, in order to raise awareness about social, educational, cultural, environmental and other relevant issues to promote active citizenship, equal opportunities, youth entrepreneurship and shared responsibility in building a better world.
