Art and reduce
Today we talked about reducing. After lunch we divided into three groups to work on waste reduction through art. The first group had to make an artistic photo with the waste produced during these days of Youth Exchange. Below you can see their final photo in which they make a critique of the large amount of garbage we produce.
The second group had the task of making a sculpture with the waste. As a final work they made a human bust and named it Anna. Does it remind you of anyone?
The last group developed an installation using water bottles, beer cans and caps. The installation consisted in listening to the sound of these objects hanging in a tree near the sea. The installation was intended to criticize the noise pollution caused by the noise of plastic and at the same time the excess of waste produced by humans.
The intercultural night last night was in charge of Lithuania and Italy. We ate great things like Anthouse or Tuscan wine produced by the family of Francesco, one of the Italian participants who owns a farm. Asllan, an Italian participant who is originally from Kosovo brought baklava to celebrate all together the end of Ramadam, Eid Mubarak!
