The day that no one wanted came and gave our last memories. After the spectacular GLitter night where all of the participants gave their best to win "The most Glitterous of them all", the morning activities reminded us our goals.  For a start we showed each team the result of yesterday's trip to Corfu town and how we engaged and with the locals and gained experience of how much active people are about recycling, reuse and reduce of waste. After lunch the best time of the program came, "The secret friend", where all the participants had to guess who made their days better with simple motivating note and for the end the gift to remember them. Confused, happy and emotional feelings were the protagonist but everyone is leaving now with more than what they brought. See you all in another story                                                    ...

Parakalo Team - 22/04/2023

When the time finally came for greek gods to descend down to the activity room, we were warmly greeted by Zeus, Hermes, Poseidon, and Dyonisus. They presented Greece - magnificent land of temples, the birthplace of democracy, and the homeland of malakas. The audience was surprised with colorful video presentation of greek lands, language quiz, wild dances and mouth watering true greek tzatziki. Later, the party took an unexpected turn and turned in to the most unforgettable dance party.

Day in Corfu

Image
Yesterday's intercultural night was in charge of the Greek group. They danced traditional Greek dances and we played a game of guessing and pronouncing correctly some Greek words. Finally we were offered traditional Greek food such as feta, orzu, yogurt or calvas. Today we went to the city of Corfu, first we made a stop in Podikonisi and visited the church. In the center of Corfu we did an activity with the local people. To attract their attention we danced all together to the song of Sexy Girl.  We did a survey and we wanted to know their opinion about the energy waste. Anna and Eleana ordered Souvlaki for everything, it was delicious! To end the day we had free time until 18:00 to visit the city. It was amazing!

final cultural night and and exploring corfu

The Greek cultural night was really nice. We learned about the culture and traditions of Greece. The music, dance, art, and dishes. We has appetizers such as tzatziki, feta cheese, and olives. And also traditional drinks. There were also performances, including traditional Greek music and dancing. We also played a game to try to pronnunce greek words.  Overall we had the opportunity to experience the warmth and hospitality of Greek culture. The trip to Corfu was really interesting as well. We enjoyed a walk in the Church and a delicious lunch with Souvlaki. The local engagement activity was also successful despite that some groups struggled to find participants. We also enjoyed free time to explore Corfu and all the different landmarks in the city. It was a very fun day.

Cultural night  πŸ‡¬πŸ‡· Yesterday night was Greece’s time to shine and they didn’t disappoint us at all: we had music, a fun quiz, great foods, lots of ouzo & tsipuro. The boys had d costumes and made us feel like in the ancient times.  It was so great to find more things about the host country and to celebrate it all together. We ended the night with a fun Greek-themed-music party  πŸ’ƒπŸΌπŸ‡¬πŸ‡·
